I think for some reason our society is enamored by ‘famous quotes’; we tend to idealize the quotee – when I see any Einstein quotes I facepalm immediately. That being said, they do calm the spirit when in turmoil, and offer sort of an OCD, repetitious respite from momentary anguish.
